With a proven track record, GLM and its associates have successfully acquired four major biofuel projects across Malaysia:

One of its standout biofuel production assets is its 250,000-ton-per-annum (TPA) processing facility strategically located in Kuantan Port. This facility is equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the production of biodiesel, specifically Fatty Acid Methyl Esters (FAME). It features a dedicated pipeline connected directly to the port jetty, enabling efficient logistics for both import of feedstock and export of products.

As part of its forward-looking business strategy, GLM is developing a grassroots Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant, using the latest and most economical HEFA technologies from renowned licensors. This will allow the company to meet the local and international demand in the aviation industry, utilising both edible and non-edible oil sources to diversify its renewable feedstocks. The essential raw materials for the SAF plant will be processed by GLM’s pre-treatment facility, ensuring efficient production.

This new initiative underscores GLM’s commitment to accelerating the global energy transition, particularly in aviation, where reducing carbon emissions is critical to meeting the net zero target by 2050.

The company’s innovative use of renewable resources—including vegetable oils, sludge palm oil, Palm Oil Mill Effluents (POME), waste fats, and recycled cooking oils—not only supports global efforts to reduce reliance on fossil fuels, but also promotes a circular economy by repurposing waste materials into valuable energy products.
